John Lennon on Yelling at Sean

September 29, 2008

There are lots and lots of qoutes from John Lennon lately (negative) because of that forth coming new book about him entitled John Lennon: The Life‘. So here’s another quote from John Lennon about him shouting at Sean, when he was 4 years old.

‘I’m so sorry. I have a temper’ – John Lennon.

This may not be a quote a John Lennon Fan may want to hear but I have to include it here… This is from the Audio diary of JOhn Lennon.

“I was just remembering the time I had my hand on my mother’s t*t in 1 Blomfield Road.

“It was when I was about 14.

“I took a day off school, I was always doing that and hanging out in her house.

“We were lying on the bed and I was thinking ‘I wonder if I should do anything else?’”

Thanks to Matt for his blog entry…

In the footage, The Beatles appear to have particular difficulty recording one track, called “I’ll Follow The Sun,” with several false starts and light-hearted banter.

The auction house said John Lennon can be heard saying: “I’m not looking at you,” and McCartney says: “You were.”

Lennon says: “It’s just going to get funnier and funnier as the evening goes on,” and “It’s 11 o’clock you know.”

McCartney replies: “Let’s just try this once more and if it’s the last one that’s hard lines.”

John Lennon: “No. They typed it out for me.”

“I believe in God, but not as one thing, not as an old man in the sky. I believe that what people call God is something in all of us. I believe that what Jesus and Mohammed and Buddha and all the rest said was right. It’s just that the translations have gone wrong” – John Lennon

“Will the people in the cheaper seats clap your hands? And the rest of you, if you’ll just rattle your jewelry.”

“My role in society, or any artist’s or poet’s role, is to try and express what we all feel. Not to tell people how to feel. Not as a preacher, not as a leader, but as a reflection of us all. ” – John Lennon
